Architecture-Sculpture Albums         Hungarian Parliament Building The Pichler House, near St. Stephen's Basilica in Budapest 5. district, is one of the most unique and beautiful buildings of Budapest. It was built for Ferenc Pichler wholesaler between 1855 and 1857, in a somewhat ’melancholic’ period that started after the lost Hungarian freedom fight of 1848-49. The Pichler House was designed by Ferenc Wieser in Romantic style. The outlook reminds us of Ca’ d’Oro (Palazzo Santa Sofia), the famous palace on the shore of Canale Grande in Venice. • Az 1848-49-es szabadságharcot követő időszak melankólikus légköre is kedvezett a hazai romantikának, azon belül az építészetnek. Ennek szép példája a Bazilika melletti Pichler ház, mely 1855 és 1857 között épült Wieser Ferenc tervei alapján Pichler Ferenc nagykereskedő megbízásából. - A velencei Ca' d'Oro (Aranyház) épületre emlékeztető gyönyörű épület a velencei gótika stílusjegyeit viseli.
