Pest Vigadó, located on the Pest embankment of the Danube, is Budapest's second largest concert hall. To replace the damaged Redoute, a very impressive building was created according to the design by Frigyes Feszl in
Romantic style mixed with oriental elements. It opened in 1865. - The pillar statues were sculpted by Károly Alexy. The frescos inside were painted by Károly Lotz and Mór Than. The Vigadó hosted the first all-Liszt concert in Hungary in 1869, and here he conducted the premier of the orchestral versions of Mihály Vörösmarty's ’Appeal’ (Szózat) and Ferenc Kölcsey's ’Hymn’. • A Pesti Vigadó Budapest belvárosában a Duna-korzón található. - A főhomlokzat oszlopszobrai Alexy Károlyt. míg a nagyterem díszítőszobrai Stróbl Alajost dicsérik.
