In Buda Castle Quarter
Photography for Arts and Culture The National Archives of Hungary is the nation's record keeper. It was created in 1756, first located in Pressburg, then moved to Buda in 1784. The present home of the National Archives was built on the northern side of Buda Castle, in Bécsi kapu square in historical style according to the plans of architect Samu Pecz. Detail of the building is seen in the photo. A Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár a nemzeti kincseknek számító iratokat őrző állami közgyűjteményi intézet. A budai várbeli Bécsi kapu téren álló központi épület terveinek elkészítésére Pecz Samu műegyetemi tanár kapott megbízást 1912-ben. Az akkor már híres építész a nemzetközi trendeknek megfelelően historizáló stílust követett. A képen a levéltári épület egyik részlete látható.
