Szecessziós templom torony, Lechner Ödön – Secession style Church - Hungary Culture Photography

Detail of the 83 meter high hexagonal main tower of the Saint Ladislaus Church is seen in the photo. The church was designed by Hungarian architect Ödön Lechner and located in Kőbánya, Budapest 10th district. It is said to be the most significant Art Noveau – Szecesszió (Secession) in Hungarian – church in our capital and undoubtedly the most famous building in the district. The domes of the central and lower side towers and the roof of the church are covered with glazed tiles that were made in the Zsolnay factory. The style of the church has been influenced by Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and also Hungarian and Persian folk architecture. - It was built between 1894 és 1899, and consecrated on June 27, 1900. ⛳ A kőbányai Szent László plébániatemplom 1894 és 1899 között épült fel Lechner Ödön tervei alapján. A mester, akit a magyar szecessziós építészet megteremtőjeként tisztelünk, eklektikus-szecessziós stílusban tervezte meg az impozáns templomot, román, gótikus, reneszánsz, barokk, valamint perzsa és magyar népi stílusokat ötvözve.- A templom főhomlokzatánál elhelyezett hatszög alakú, 83 méter magas főtorony – ennek látjuk egy részletét a képen – uralja a látványt. - Magyarország egyik leghíresebb szecessziós templomát 1900. június 27-én (László napon) szentelték fel.
