On a bright summer day I offered my granddaughter Bius to take a walk on Gellért Hill. We came across the memorial ‘Garden of Philosophy’, which was sculpted by Nándor Wagner. It consists of eight figures, one is missing in this photo. From left: Bodhidharma (Daruma), Gautama Buddha, Francis of Assisi, Lao Tze, Jesus of Nazareth (his back seen), Abraham (lying) and Echnaton. The composition demonstrates the efforts of human kind for a better mutual understanding. ⛳ Egy szép nyári napon Bius unokámmal egy kirándulást tettünk a Gellérthegyen, ahol rábukkantunk a ‘Filozófiai Kert’ szoborcsoportba. Wagner Nándor Japánban élő művész Budapestnek adta ajándékba 1997-ben, amelyet 2001 októberében avattak fel először. 2006-ban három szobrot elloptak, ezeket 2010-re pótolták. A képen balról haladva: Bódhidharma (Daruma), Buddha, Assisi Szent Ferenc, Lao-Ce, Názáreti Jézus (háttal), Ábrahám (fekve imádkozik) és Ehnaton. Különböző korokban és kultúrákban élt vallásalapítók, gondolkodók voltak.
