Szt.László téri templom, Lechner Ödön - Catholic Church, Art Nouveau - Hungary Culture Photography

The Saint Ladislaus Church is seen in the photo. It is located in Budapest 10th district. Designed by Hungarian architect Ödön Lechner it is said to be the most significant Art Noveau – Szecesszió (Secession) in Hungarian – church in our capital and undoubtedly the most famous building in the district of Kőbánya. Its hexagonal main tower is 83 meter high, making it one of the tallest in Hungary. The domes of the central and lower side towers and the roof of the church are covered with glazed tiles that were made in the Zsolnay factory. The style of the church has been influenced by Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and also Hungarian and Persian folk architecture. - It was built between 1894 és 1899, and consecrated on June 27, 1900. ⛳ Kőbánya legismertebb nevezetessége a Szent László téren álló Szent László-templom. 1894 és 1899 között épült fel Lechner Ödön tervei alapján. A templom főhomlokzatánál elhelyezett hatszög alakú, 83 méter magas főtorony uralja a képet. A tervező, akit a magyar szecessziós építészet megteremtőjeként tisztelünk, eklektikus-szecessziós stílusban tervezte meg a gyönyörű templomot. Román, gótikus, reneszánsz, barokk, valamint perzsa és magyar népi stílusok ötvözésével érte el az összhangot a templom külső megjelenésében. 1900. június 27-én (László napon) szentelték fel Budapest minden bizonnyal leghíresebb szecessziós templomát.
