We are in one of the side corridors of the grandiose building, where the Museum of Ethnography was housed. It was originally been built for the Ministry of Justice in 1893-1896, according to the plans of famous architect Alajos Hauszmann, and it was implemented by Czech Leopold Havel. - The style is said to be eclectic, with neo-Baroque and neo-Renaissance style inside and with elements of Classicism outside the building. Above your head, on the left is seen detail of the ceiling mural (fresco) by Károly Lotz depicting Lady Justice (Latin: Iustitia) and allegories of Justice, Peace, Sin and Retribution (1894). It reminds us of the original function of the building (Ministry of Justice). - This photo had been made at the end of November 2017, a few days before the Museum of Ethnography was closed. ⛳ Az eredetileg Igazságügyi Palotának szánt Kossuth Lajos téri épület egyik oldalfolyosóján vagyunk. Az épület tervezésére Hauszmann Alajos kapott megbízást 1891-ben. Az épület a kiegyensúlyozottság, a vonzó arányok, a gazdag külső és belső ornamentika és nem utolsó sorban Lotz Károly lenyűgöző allegorikus mennyezeti freskója, a ‘Justitia diadala’ révén a késő eklektika egyik kiemelkedő alkotása. A freskó részlete a kép bal oldalán látható. - A fotó 2017. november végén készült, pár nappal a Néprajzi Múzeum bezárása előtt.
