The grand building in Kossuth Lajos square, in which the Museum of Ethnography was housed, had originally been built for the Ministry of Justice between 1893-1896, according to the plans of Alajos Hauszmann, and implemented by Leopold Havel. The building is eclectic in style, with elements of neo-Baroque and neo-Renaissance inside, and with those of Classicism outside the building.- This photo had been made at the end of November 2017, a few days before the Museum of Ethnography was closed. ⛳ Az eredetileg Igazságügyi Palotának szánt Kossuth Lajos téri épület tervezésére Hauszmann Alajos kapott megbízást 1891-ben. Az épület a kiegyensúlyozottság, a vonzó arányok, a gazdag külső és belső ornamentika és nem utolsó sorban Lotz Károly lenyűgöző mennyezeti freskója révén a késő eklektika egyik kiemelkedő alkotása. A csaknem 2,5 millió Ft teljes költségű Igazságügyi Palotát 1896. május 1-jén adták át. 1973-tól a Néprajzi Múzeumnak adott otthont. - A fotó 2017. november végén készült, pár nappal a Néprajzi Múzeum bezárása előtt.
